WAAF AGRO LIMITED (formerly WOFA ADDO AGYENKWA FARMS AND TRADING COMPANY LTD) is a registered company under the laws of Ghana which was incorporated in the year 2010 as an importer, distributor, and retailer of Agricultural Inputs including Fertilizers
Seeds, Pesticides, Animal Feeds, and other agricultural equipment. The company started
input distribution in Techiman in 1999 as a retail shop and has grown gradually to be
among the leading importers and distributors of agro-inputs in the country now.
WAAF AGRO LIMITED has its Head office in the WAAF building located at Techiman – Tamale Road in the Bono East Region, and six distribution centers in Ghana namely Tema, Kumasi, Sunyani, Kintampo, Nkoranza, and Techiman market. The company has over one hundred
Wholesale and Retail agents who buy and sell its products to Ghanaian farmers throughout the
country.
WAAF Agro Ltd has annual average fertilizer sales of 20,000 MT – 25,000MT and Maize (seed) sales of 135MT per annum. An average sales of 65MT of vegetable and fruit seeds a year.
Over the years, WAAF Agro Ltd has been given inputs and financial credit support to Seed Producers in the Bono, Ahafo, Bono East Regions to produce quality maize (seed) for its market.
The company has a support program for farmers dubbed FARM INPUT CREDIT SUPPLY SCHEME (FICSS) which gives inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides to farmers on credit and to be repaid after harvest.
Over the years, WAAF Agro Ltd has sponsored Farmers' Day celebrations and Award programs from the District to Regional and National levels.
The company also has it in the pipeline to set up a Fertilizer Blending Plant at Techiman to help produce crop and soil-specific fertilizers to enable farmers to get the maximum benefit in fertilizer usage
The company has a Corporate Social Responsibility that give back to society. Some of these are lavatory facility (5-seat WC) for the Divisional Police Command in the Bono East, a Story Library and computer Laboratory for the SDA JHS in the Techiman Municipality, an annual donation to the Pediatric Ward of the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman, etc.
WAAF AGRO LIMITED has employed Forty-Two (42) permanent staff consisting of 29 males and 13 females and about 50 casual workers in the various activities of the company.
